“I can’t freaking believe that you all knew him and never bothered to tell me,” Bailey admonishes her new friends. “I mean really, is there no girl code in this city?”

Bailey isn’t as upset with them over Nix as she appears to be. She’s just feeling stupid, silly for trusting them so quickly. Maybe she should have kept to herself like she always did. When you open yourself up to new experiences, new relationships, you also open yourself up for heartbreak. She knows that’s the guaranteed outcome with Nix, so why not also her new group of girlfriends?

“No, honestly there is. We are very loyal friends, I swear. We just didn’t think you were ready to…I don’t know,” Sydney continues as she rubs her growing baby bump. “You seemed so skittish already. We didn’t want to freak you out worse.”

“Freak me out over what exactly?”

Drea makes eye contact with the rest of the group before answering. “Um, stop jerking us around. You know about his lifestyle, right?”

Bailey laughs, let’s them off the hook. “Is that what this is all about? His kink? I know, by the way, and it’s good, it’s all good” she admits with a smile.

“You’re alright with it? It’s intense, and for someone just starting out, I can only imagine…” Skyler trails off.

“You know what we need?” Brook asks, interrupting. “A girl’s night! We’ll go to dinner and get the scoop on Nix then go clubbing. It’s been ages since I’ve been out with you ladies.”

“We start filming on Monday, so we’d better do it tonight. I have a feeling I’m going to need the rest of the weekend to recover. And there’s a lot of spilling on the Nix topic, you all owe me” Bailey says.

“Then it’s a plan. Tonight, it is. You can all get drunk and I’ll keep an eye on everyone,” Sydney promises. “That is unless I go into labor before we leave. God, this child has to come soon, or I don’t know what I’m going to do.”

“Girl’s night!” they laugh as Brook hugs Sydney into her side, offering her an ear to listen to her pregnancy aches and pains.

Back in her apartment Bailey calls Randi to invite her to come along with the girls and fill her in on the previous night’s event.

“Start talking. I only have five minutes before my prep is over and those fuckers are back in here. I’m honestly starting to hate kids, Bay. Hate them so fucking hard! So, you still carrying your V card in your purse or does Mr. Doyle have it in his back pocket?”

“I’m V card free, thank you very much.”

“Tell me all about it over coffee later? I can come into the city.”

“Nope. Girls night. Come here after work. You can wear something of mine.”

“Okay. See you around five. And I want all the details. All the dirty details.”

“Of course you do. Bye, Randi.”
